Welcome Room 15 to 2022
Check out what we have been up to in Room 15
In Room 15, we had a great time practising our cricket skills. We were learning how to throw a ball to a batter, learning how to bat and also catch the ball. It took a lot of practise to hit the wickets down but eventually all the teams hit them down.
On week 6 had Room 14 join us for the day and we had Garden to Table. Half the class was in the garden and the other half was in the kitchen.
We cleaned the garden by pulling out weeds, watering the planter boxes and we also picked some cherry tomatoes.
While we were in the garden, we had to collect the eggs from the chicken coop. Mrs Brown was not happy about us disturbing her. There were so many eggs!
The Group in the kitchen were doing some amazing baking. They baked Pear and vanilla muffins. It was delicious.
We have been doing some exciting things in Room 15. On Thursday we did cricket. That was great fun.The
We were practising how to throw the ball up and catch it with one hand. We also were throwing the ball and the baller and were fielding.
This term Team Whanake has swimming on Thursday. When we went to the Otara pools. It was great being at the pools again.
We had a Friday treat because we all were wearing our hats. Mr Avatea thought that all us FBS learners were superstars because we all had our hats on.
He got us some ice blocks!!
Thank you Mr Avatea!!
Room 15 had a great start to 2022. We had loads of fun learning about each other and practising how to work together by playing games, doing puzzles and lots of other fun activities.

I am Mrs Hira and will be the teacher for Room 15 this year. I am looking forward to meeting you and working together with you this year.
After the disruptive year that we had last year with the Covid lockdowns, I am hoping that we have a better year this year. I am sure that we are over the worst of it and it is going to be an exciting year of learning with lots of fun too.
